Cause: 3.7.40 built in 1907 by forges & c de la mediterrane, havre. one boiler, triple expansion engine of 72nhp, single shaft. formerly a french auxillary patrol vessel. seized by rn at portsmouth 3.7.40. used as an anti-submarine patrol vessel from 8.40. passage portsmouth for anti-submarine duties and return. sunk by gunfire from german surface craft. (colledge & south coast shipwrecks). also referred to as hm trawler l'istrac.
