Length 59.7 meter, width: 8.5 meter, draught: 4.6, tonnage 778 ton

Cause: 3.7.40 built in 1907 by forges & c de la mediterrane, havre. one boiler, triple expansion engine of 72nhp, single shaft. formerly a french auxillary patrol vessel. seized by rn at portsmouth 3.7.40. used as an anti-submarine patrol vessel from 8.40. passage portsmouth for anti-submarine duties and return. sunk by gunfire from german surface craft. (colledge & south coast shipwrecks). also referred to as hm trawler l'istrac.

(HMS SCOTT, 5.11.55). 4.7.96 REPD TO BE A WW2 CASUALTY AS A SHELL CASE DATED 1932 WAS FOUND BY A GUN MOUNTING. SHE IS A SS, 130FT LONG, 10FT HIGH AT THE BOILERS AND THEREFORE, IS UNLIKELY TO BE THE `TWEED'. (J MARKHAM). NCA. HH100/351/12 24.2.97 IDENTIFIED AS BEING HMS LISTRAC.
