LENGTH 68MTRS, WIDTH 10MTRS. LIES 000/180 DEGS. (NP 1008, HI 612). NCA. 19.9.23 WRECK IDENTIFIED AS "HMS HOSTE". Divers dived wreck 557 on 22/8/23 and this was found to be the wreck of a British Destroyer, four Yarrow Boilers, china crockery with the 1916 and later blue crown, and plenty of ammunition. The wreck ended just aft of the engine room with the stern missing. There are no other destroyers missing in this area, and by its condition (missing stern), its location from HMS Marvel's log (corrected) and its position and distance from HMS Negro then there can be no doubt that this is the wreck of HMS Hoste.
