Cause: built in 1907 by j torrey duthie, sb co ltd, aberdeen for j marr & sons ltd. hired to the rn in 1915 as an armed patrol vessel. one boiler, triple expansion engine of 68hp, single shaft. machinery by w v v lidgerwood, glasgow. 1 x 6 pdr gun. struck mine laid by german submarine. (sibi). torpedoed and sunk by ub 34. (der kreig zur see).

DCS3 HT 1.3MTRS. LENGTH 32MTRS, WIDTH 14MTRS. LIES 105/285 DEGS. WELL DEFINED WK WITH SURROUNDING DEBRIS. (GARDLINE, HI 796). BR STD. HH100/351/20 19.6.03 HAS BEEN DIVED IN LISTED POSN. A BOW OR FWD SECTION THAT HAS BEEN WELL FLATTENED (PROBABLY WITH THE BLYTH SUBMARINE BASE BEING NEARBY). QUITE A BIT OF WRECKAGE STREWN ABOUT BUT NOTHING MUCH HIGHER THAN 1-2MTRS.
