Cause: a d class destroyer. built in 1932 by fairfield shipbuilding co, paisley. s turbines, quadruple shaft. 4 x 4.7 inch, 3 x 1 inch guns. 8 torpedo tubes. was bombed and sunk by german aircraft. (srn, dods, sibi & ww2sl).

E/S EXAMINATION NOT COMPLETE BUT LEAST DEPTH OBTAINED 172FT IN GEN DEPTH 188FT. MEDIUM STRENGTH SONAR RETURNS FROM N & E OF THE WRECK. (HMS SCOTT, 11.5.64). INS AS NDW.

(T HANLAN, TELECON). NCA. [SEE 18476]. HH090/533/01 28.5.93 EXAM'D 21.2.93 IN 501205N, 021734W [WGD] USING HYPERFIX [3 LOP]. LEAST E/S DEPTH 52.6 IN GEN DEPTH 57MTRS. NO SCOUR. DCS3 HT 4.5MTRS, LENGTH 120MTRS, WIDTH 50MTRS. WELL BROKEN UP WITH SHOALEST POINT AT S END. MAGNETOMETER INDICATED FERROUS CONTENT OF 1475 TONS. (HMS BULLDOG, HI 533). BR STD. HH100/351/22 18.7.05 THIS IS A SS WITH TWO BOILERS AND A COMPOUND EXPANSION ENGINE. UPRIGHT, WELL BROKEN AND, APART FROM THE BOWS, WELL BURIED. LITTLE OF THE STERN REMAINS AND THE PROP HAS NO BLADES. BEYOND THE TWO BOILERS THE MIDSHIPS AREA IS WELL DISPERSED, BUT THE BOWS ARE INTACT AND LIE ON THEIR STBD SIDE, FORMING THE HIGHEST POINT. ESTIMATED TO BE ABOUT 1200GT. (N R CHIPCHASE). NCA. 23.5.17 STATUTORY INSTRUMENTS, DEFENCE NO 147/2017. COMING INTO FORCE 3.3.17. AMEND "HISTORIC".
