Cause: built 1910 by john brown shipbuilders, glasgow with steam turbine engines of 13500hp, twin shaft. struck a mine. forepart of ship was blown off and sank. 31 of 104 crew lost. new bow was constructed and repaired vessel continued in service until 1921. (sii)
