Cause: built in 1917 by d & w henderson & co ltd, partick, glasgow. owned at time of loss by t & j harrison, hired by the admiralty in 1939 as a boom carrier. four boilers, quadruple expansion engine of 696nhp, single shaft. machinery by the shipbuilder. passage rosyth for scapa flow. torpedoed and sunk by u-58 75m n of kinnairds hd. sank later the next day. 4 men lost. (dods, sibi & colledge).
