Details measurements/cartography: SEP 2020/000068830 16.3.20 LARGE PIECE OF WRECKAGE FOUND OFF KIRKWALL BY SSS AND PHOTOGRAPHED BY DIVERS IN 5900.025N, 0251.095W [WGD]. EVIDENCE SUGGESTS THIS IS THE BOW OF HMS ALBACORE WHICH STRUCK A MINE 9.3.1917. (E-MAIL INFO FROM KEVIN HEATH, DTD 9.3.2020). INS DW. 24.3.20 FURTHER E-MAILS FROM KEVIN HEATH CONFIRMING POSITION OF WRECK IS CORRECT AND SEABED GENERAL DEPTH 28m BY E/S. (E-MAIL INFO FROM KEVIN HEATH, DTD 24.3.2020). GEN DEPTH 28m - 2.11m (HT OF WK) = 25.89m - 5m FOR SAFE CLEARANCE. AMEND WK USC 20.5m.
