Name: HMCS ATHABASKAN

Length 108.2 meter, width: 11.3 meter, draught: 2.7, tonnage 2000 ton

Cause: 30.6.72 canadian tribal class destroyer 'athabaskan', built 1941 by vickers armstrong, in company of 'hms haida' encountered two german destroyers nw of brest. the athabaskan was hit by gunfire & torpedoes. about half of the 240 crew were lost. (dods & martin brice, imperial war museum telecon 30.6.72).
