Cause: Built in 1940 by yarrow, esquimalt, canada. a flower class corvette. three drum boilers, quadruple expansion engine of 2800 ihp, single shaft. mined and sunk. (dods & c-in-c portsmouth, aug 1944). torpedoed by u 480. (axis submarine successes, 1939/45 & warship losses, ww2).
