Cause: built of iron in 1882 by t turnbull & sons of whitby. two boilers, compound engine of 130 hp, single shaft. machinery by t richardson & son, hartlepool. passage mostyn for cardiff. ran down and sunk by sv sovereign [12281]. both vessels sank. 6 lives lost. (sibi).

APPARENTLY INTACT WITH SOME DEBRIS OFF THE SW END. AMONG ROCKY OUTCROPS. (HMS FAWN, HI 41/77). AMEND TO WK 38MTRS IN NEW POSN. BR STD. H5001/72 24.11.80 WK EXAM'D 15/16.6.77 IN 512833N, 045611W [OGB] USING HIFIX. LEAST E/S LEAST E/S DEPTH 42.7 IN GEN DEPTH 50MTRS. NO SCOUR. APPROX LENGTH 125MTRS.
