Cause: built in 1908 by a steven and sons. triple expansion engines of 802 nhp for 15 knots. owned by allen line ss company. torpedoed by u20 85m sw by s of fastnet. captain maine in command, 635 passengers and crew on board. passage liverpool to montreal with general cargo. hit amidships at 2030 but did not sink for several hours. 32 persons lost their lives, remainder took to boats and were rescued. vessel towed to queenstown but foundered after making 35m.
