(N R CHIPCHASE, LTR DTD 10.00). NCA. 3.7.07 BADLY BROKEN BETWEEN THE BOILERS AND THE BOWS. AFT OF THE TWO MAIN BOILERS IS THE ENGINE, MOSTLY COVERED OVER. SHAFT TUNNEL RUNS THROUGH THE REMAINS OF THE AFTER HOLDS, WHICH CONTAIN RAILWAY TRUCK WHEELS AND AXLES. SPARE PROP LIES NEAR THE INTACT STERN. TOP OF THE AFTER STEERING GEAR IS THE SHOALEST POINT AT 41MTRS. STERN GUN IS IN SITU, AS ARE THE RUDDER AND PROPELLOR. A CLINOMETER MADE BY ALDER OF BLYTHE HAS BEEN FOUND.
