POSN APPROX 502012N, 051100W FOR FILING ONLY. 24.3.97 LIES AT HANOVER COVE AT A DEPTH OF 20 FEET (PLUS 15 FEET OF SAND). HER MOSTLY INTACT CARGO ESTIMATED TO BE WORTH ΓΊ50,000,000 STERLING. FIRMLY IDENTIFIED BY THE BELL AND A GOLD RING FOUND ON THE SITE. RING BELONGED TO THE WIFE OF THE MASTER, JOSEPH SHERBURN, WHO PERISHED IN THE STORM. EXCAVATION LIKELY TO BE COMMENCED IN APRIL 1997. (NAUTICAL MAGAZINE, FEB 97). NCA. 16.11.00 AREA WITHIN 250MTRS RADIUS OF 5020.075N, 0510.823W [OGB] DESIGNATED AS RESTRICTED UNDER THE PROTECTION OF WRECKS ACT, 1973. (M DEAN, ADU, EMAIL DTD 16.11.00). POSN AND RADIUS CONFIRMED. (SI 1718/1997). INS REST'D AREA, WK NOT CHARTED. BR STD. SEP 2007/000005452 18.1.07 REST'D AREA NOT SHOWN ON BA 1149 [EDN 5 DTD 31.1.02]. BA 1149 IS STS TO SHOW AREA. INS AS NOTE 'HISTORIC WRECK'.
