Cause: built in 1928 by eriksbergs mek vaerks. owned at time of loss by rederiaktieb reut. passage sweden for curaco. oil engine of 543nhp. was damaged by explosion which chief officer stated was due to a mine. half vessel remained afloat & was sunk by hm ships 2 days later. (dods). presumed sunk by submarine. (ww2sl). torpedoed & sunk by german submarine u-48. (axis submarine successes).
