Cause: ashore on rocks at inchkeith. from salonica. (lloyds). built 1880 by redhead & co, south shields, with 2 cylinder compound engine of 130hp, 1 boiler, single shaft. owned at time of loss by m cay, south shields. passage salonica for leith. ran onto rocks on e side of inchkeith in thick fog. (sibi & shipwrecks of the forth & tay, b baird)

NCA, 4.5.10 BROKEN REMAINS OF KEEL FROM THE BOWS TO THE BRIDGE, COVERED IN KELP, LIE IN SHALLOW WATER IN 5601.9N, 0307.8W [WGD]. BRASS BELL DOLPHINS & BELL CLAPPER RECOVERED IN 1990. THE STERN SECTION WITH ENGINE & BOILER WERE PRESUMABLY SCRAPPED. SHIPWRECKS OF THE FORTH & TAY, B BAIRD, PUBLISHED 2009) NCA.
