Cause: ex-ballater, ex-blairmore. built in 1894 by harland & wolff, blefast. owned at time of loss by haenton shipping co. two boilers, triple expansion engine of 245 nhp, single shaft. passage bilbao for middleborough. torpedoed by ub-40. 19 men lost. (ww1sl, dods & sibi).
