Cause: built in 1962 by nv schpsw 'appingedam', appingedam. owned at time of loss by highseas ltd. passage dean quarry, near porthoustock, south cornwall for london. cargo shifted during severe gale off eddystone. was escorted into plymouth sound and anchored in jennycliffe bay, where she capsized and sank. no lives lost.
