H01001/40 5.10.07 RESEARCH USING DOCUMENTATION FROM U 20, WOULD INDICATE THAT THIS WRECK IS PROBABLY THAT OF NORWEGIAN SS 'HOSANGER' [SEE ALSO 1384]. (K HEATH E-MAIL DTD 18.9.07 & TELECON) H01001/40 WHICH GAVE SINKING POSN AS 5810.00N, 0140.00W HAS BEEN DESTROYED. WKS USC PA 70MTRS [TO COVER 'FREDENSBORG' & 'ENGLAND'] IN 5825.00N, 0153.00W TO REMAIN CHARTED UNTIL DISPROVED BY SURVEY. 20.6.11 NOW CONSIDERED TO BE FREDENSBORG. WK BROKEN AT AFT END OF ENGINE ROOM WITH STERN PART BROKEN AWAY. THIS AGREES WITH ORIGINAL SINKING REPORT. (K HEATH, TELECON).
