Details measurements/cartography: HH242/620/19 28.6.01 LIES JUST INSIDE THE S PIER OF THE RIVER TYNE BETWEEN 5500.527N, 0124.988W [WGD] AND 5500.503N, 0124.960W. ABOUT 50MTRS E OF THE MAIN DREDGED CHANNEL. LENGTH ABOUT 44MTRS, BEAM 6MTRS. STANDS FROM 1.5-3MTRS HIGH. (R YOUNG, EMAIL DTD 27.6.01). HH242/620/19 3.7.01 POSN TIES IN WITH ORIGINAL REPORTED POSN OF 'FENELLA'. REPORTS OF THE DAY INDICATE THAT GREAT EFFORTS WERE MADE TO REMOVE THE WK. BOILERS, STEERING GEAR, STEEL PLATES AND MUCH OF THE CARGO OF COAL WERE REMOVED. BAR SWEEP CARRIED OUT OVER THE WK AND NO OBSTNS WERE NOTED. MOST OF THE REMAINING WRECK WAS FOUND TO BE COVERED IN SAND. (P LYNCH, PORT SURVEYOR, EMAIL DTD 3.7.01). NCA. HH242/620/19 31.7.01 AREA HAS BEEN INVESTIGATED AT 5MTR LINE SPACING. TWO SMALL ANOMALIES NOTED, BUT NOT CONSIDERED SIGNIFICANT TO NAVIGATION. (P LYNCH, PORT SURVEYOR, EMAIL DTD 26.7.01). NCA, POSN FOR FILING ONLY.
