Cause: built in 1893 by palmer, newcastle-upon-tyne. owned at time of loss by j fenwick. two boilers, compound expansion engine of 90 nhp, single shaft. 90 ihp. passage cardiff for dieppe. crew of 18. foundered during nnw force 10 after having probably lost her rudder. crew of 18 lost. (sibi).

BELL FOUND MARKED: PALMER BROS. SEABED SAND. (G POUND). INS AS NDW. BR STD. 14.6.01 14.6.01 DIVED IN 5019.555N, 0558.590W [WGD] USING DGPS. CONFIRMED AS FANNY LAMBERT. (J ROSEVEARE, TELECON). RETAIN AS NDW IN REVISED POSN. BR STD. 10.1.11 10.1.11 LOCATED 10.10.09 IN 5019.579N, 0528.659W [WGD]. LEAST M/B DEPTH 31.66 IN GEN DEPTH 35MTRS. NO SCOUR. LENGTH 24.6MTRS, WIDTH 9.1MTRS, HT 3.39MTRS. LIES 032/212 DEGS WITH BOWS NNE. STRONG MAGNETIC ANOMALY. (FUGRO OSAE, HI 1157). AMEND WK 31MTRS IN REVISED POSN. BR STD.
