Cause: built in 1857 at stockton. owned at time of loss by j duff. broke down off holyhead and sailed to ramsay bay. could not make shelter there owning to adverse winds so she anchored off ravenglass. crew of 7 left her in a small boat and the master proceeded to maryport to engage a tug. when the master and crew returned the next morning the vessel had vanished. presumed foundered in the night. (a corkill).
