Cause: 28.1.1940 built by goole sb & repairing co in 1919. owned at time of loss by the peninsular & oriental steam navigation company. triple expansion engines of 172 nhp for 11 knots. en route hull to blyth. reported off blyth 28.1.1940, but no more was heard of either ship or crew of 17 until ship's boat and one body washed ashore some days later. BOILERS & ENGINE COMPLETE AND STAND ABOUT 6MTRS HIGH, DUE SOUTH OF AND ABOUT 40MTRS FROM THE BOW. STERN SECTION IS ABOUT 70MTRS FROM AND SW OF BOILERS AND IS PARTLY DEMOLISHED, BUT STILL 8MTRS HIGH. GEN DEPTH ABOUT 23MTRS. (NORTH-EAST DIVING LTD, LTR DTD 28.7.78). INS AS WK 12MTRS.
