Cause: built in 1941. blown ashore onto skertichenish rock, off sandray i, hebrides, while on voyage greenock to new york. owned at time of loss by ministry of transport (haldin & phillips).

WELL BROKEN UP, LYING CLOSE TO THE EDGE OF THE BAY IN ABOUT 18MTRS OF WATER. NO DANGER TO SURFACE NAVIGATION OR ANCHORING. (D J BURTON, 10.6.86). INS AS F. BR STD. HH100/351/08 10.8.94 HH100/351/08 10.8.94 LOCATED IN 565257N, 073054W [WGD]. INVESTIGATED BY DIVER. LIES AGAINST THE ROCKS ON THE WHOLE OF THE W SIDE OF THE BAY. MAJOR PARTS IN THE QUOTED POSN. THESE INCLUDE THE ENGINE AND BOILER. LARGEST PIECE OF WK STANDS ABOUT 4MTRS ABOVE THE SEABED. UNDERWATER, THE WRECKAGE EXTENDS FROM THE CLIFFS TO A DEPTH OF 12MTRS. (J LEIGH). NCA.
