Cause: built in 1940 by w grey & co ltd, west hartlepool. owned at time of loss by the ministry of war transport. two boilers, triple expansion engine of 255hp, single shaft. machinery aft by central marine engineering works, west hartlepool. passage hartlepool for london. 3800 tons general cargo. bombed by german aircraft. sank next night without loss of life.
