Length 27.4 meter, width: 5.9 meter, draught: 3, tonnage 111 ton

Cause: built in 1895 by hall, russel & co of aberdeen. owned at time of loss by w barton of whitby. single boiler, compound expansion engine of 45hp, single screw. base port whitby. captured by submarine and sunk by gunfire whilst fishing.

LYING N/S IN SMOOTH, FINE SAND. DISTANCE ABOUT 70MTRS BETWEEN THE TWO PARTS, THE LARGER BEING ABOUT 40MTRS LONG AND THE SMALLER 30MTRS. SMALL MAG ANOMALY. (HMS FAWN, HI 56A/79). APPEARS TO BE TOO LONG FOR THIS WK. ?TWO WKS. BR STD. HH090/799/02 18.6.03 EXAM'D 30.3.03 IN 5118.494N, 05 34.124W [WGD] USING DGPS. LEAST E/S DEPTH 71.0 IN GEN DEPTH 73MTRS. SCOUR 1MTR. LENGTH 48MTRS, WIDTH 10MTRS. LIES 175/355 DEGS. NO MAGNETIC ANOMALY. WELL BROKEN UP, LYING LOW IN THE SEABED. (NP 1008, HI 799). HAS ATTACHED FLOATING NETS/ROPES. AMEND TO WK 71MTRS. BR STD.
