Cause: 21.3.80 vessel put into brest harbour on 21.3.80 following engine trouble and deck cargo shifting while on passage from rouen to lattakia. the crew & owners abandoned the vessel one month later. having lain alongside in brest commercial port for several months the vessel was towed & sunk by french navy on 24.1.82. (ll 3.2.82).
