Cause: built in 1879 by a leslie & co, newcastle-upon-tyne. sold june 1914 to the admiralty for use as a blockship. compound expansion engine, single shaft. sunk as blockship in burra sound. (sibi).

H1270/76 13.8.76 REPORTED TO HAVE BEEN DISPERSED IN 1962.H1270/76 13.8.76 NOW CHARTED AS STF. (DEPT OF HARBOURS, ORKNEY, 5.7.76). SHOWN AS STP ON BA 2568 [NOV 1979 EDN]. (AUTHORITY NOT KNOWN). H3579/88 22.7.88 REFERRED TO AS 'MOYLE', SUNK IN 1940. (THE WRECKS OF SCAPA FLOW). STERN STANDING 5.0 MTRS HIGH. THE SAME LENGTH OF VESSEL APPEARS TO BE UNDER WATER. STATED TO BE PART OF A/S BARRIER. (AUTHORITY NOT STATED). 9.11.10 EXAM'D IN 5855.5177N, 0318.7828W [WGD] (CENTRE) USING DGPS. LEAST M/B DEPTH AT CENTRE 5.2MTRS. LEAST DEPTH 4.7MTRS AT EAST END (5855.5135N, 0318.7369W).
