Cause: struck rocks off the skerries about 4 miles nw of the skerries lt. distress cables made to seaforth wireless station as no 1 and no 2 holds were flooded. crew rescued by harrison line vessel 'huntsman' which left for liverpool. delfina remained afloat, drifting east on the flood tide. spotted by liverpool trawler 'gosina' who observed her to sink in posn: penmon lt south by east, point lynas lt west by south.

MIDSHIPS BRIDGE SECTION STARTING TO COLLAPSE AND THE AFTER SECTION HAS TOTALLY FALLEN OVER TO STBD. NO SIGNS OF CARGO. APPARENTLY AN OLD SHIP FROM STATE OF METAL DECAY. UNUSUALLY DEEP SCOUR ALONG STBD SIDE WHERE WK STANDS SOME 8 TO 9 MTRS HIGH. (K HURLEY, 23.10.89). HH100/351/08 20.5.94 ALMOST CERTAINLY DELFINA.
