Name: DAVAAR

Length 50.3 meter, width: 7.3 meter, draught: 3.4, tonnage 268 ton
Load: general and mixed goods,granular or powdery material

Cause: built in 1787 by campbeltown shipbuilding co ltd. owned at time of loss by matthew louden, glasgow. one boiler, compound expansion engine, single shaft. passage glasgow for limerick. grounded on patterosn's rock due to navigation error. sold at auction in jan 1879 & later salvaged. (sibi).

NCA, POSN 551700N, 053224W. 18.3.10 DUE TO SALVAGE ACTIVITIES THE ONLY LARGE ITEM REMAINING IS THE BOILER AMID SCATTERED & FLATTENED DEBRIS IN GEN DEPTH 12MTRS. (ARGYLL SHIPWRECKS, PUBLISHED 1994)
