Cause: ran aground on dunnet head, caithness, while heading through pentland firth, outward bound for fishing grounds. crew of 11 safe. (ll).

(HMS HERALD, HI 13B/76). AMEND DEAD. NCA. SEP 2010/000162731 4.10.10 WK LOCATED IN 5839.560N, 0326.284W [WGD]. LEAST M/B DEPTH 45.58MTRS. LENGTH 40MTRS, WIDTH 10MTRS, HT 4MTRS. HEADING 155 DEGS. MODERATE MAGNETIC ANOMALY. PROBABY A MODERN WK WITH WOODEN HULL. COARSE SEABED. LIES IN SHALLOW HOLLOW, NO DEBRIS. (MARIN MATTEKNIK, REPORT DTD 28.9.10). POSSIBLY 'DALEWOOD'. INS AS WK 45MTRS. BR STD.
