Cause: built in 1904 in fredrikstad by j & a jensen & dahl. two boilers, triple expansion engine of 132 hp, single shaft. passage swansea for rouen. cargo coal. sank following a collision with french ss astree 7m from godrevy island.

A MID-ENGINED, '3 CASTLE' VESSEL. LIES ON PORT SIDE. CARGO COAL. MAKER'S PLATE FOUND BY I PEDLEY MARKED: J & A JENSEN & DAHL, MAK 725, FR STAD MEK, VAERLSTED 1904, FREDRIKSSTAD. (G POUND, ?TELECON). BR STD. 14.6.01 14.6.01 DIVED IN 5021.347N, 0526.112W [WGD] USING DGPS. GENERALLY INTACT AND LIES ON PORT BEAM, ABOUT HALF BURIED IN SAND/SEABED. FROM THE BOILERS FWD THE WK IS INTACT, THE AFTER PART MORE COLLAPSED. ONLY ONE BOILER SEEN, BUT OTHER REPORTS MENTION TWO BOILERS ONE ALMOST BURIED. THIS WK IS PROBABLY 'DAGEID'.
