Shipwreck details

Name: CRETEBLOCK

Length 38.1 meter, width: 8.4 meter, draught: 4.1, tonnage 271 ton

Cause: built in ?shorham of concrete. ordered as ct35 in 1917. dismantled 1934. after short military career was bought by smith's dock and used as a tug on merseyside unlit 1935 when the company moved whitby. used briefly as a fisherman's store, later made watertight and towed out to be scuttled in deep water. began taking in water and was beached off scaur. (various, via s cant).
