Cause: built in 1926 by c connell & co ltd, glasgow. owned at time of loss by charente ss co ltd (harrison's). four boilers, triple expansion engine of 464nhp, single shaft. passage new orleans and halifax for liverpool. detonated a magnetic mine. (sibi & lloyds war losses).
