H6873/58 13.10.58 POSN 535723N, 032154W, OR 5M NE BY E (056 DEG) FROM MORECAMBE BAY LTV. AREA FROM 1-1.25M RADIUS FROM REPD POSN HAS BEEN SWEPT BY TWO MOTOR BOATS & E/S SEARCH BY THV ARGUS. WRECK NOT LOCATED. SEABED IN VICINITY IS LEVEL WITH GEN DEPTH 10-11FMS AT LWST. (TH, 23.9.58). INS AS NDWPA. BR STD. 1.9.72 AMEND TO USC 5FMS. NE 1826. 31.10.75 AMEND TO USC PA 9MTRS. NC 1961. HH3944/88/2 8.4.91 NOT FOUND USING SONAR AND E/S. SEVERAL STRONG MAGNETIC ANOMALIES IN AREA INDICATE THAT WK MAY HAVE SETTLED COMPLETELY UNDER SOFT SAND AND MUD SEABED. (HMS ROEBUCK, HI 466).
