Cause: built in 1960 by t mitchinson, gateshead. owned at time of loss by j marr (aberdeen) ltd. 6 cylinder oil engine of 760bhp, single shaft. passage aberdeen for the north sea, thistle platform. stranded and lost in heavy weather. attempts to refloat were made but became a ctl. (sibi).
