BR STD. 24.10.07 24.10.07 THIS IS THE WK OF A LARGE SS WITH A TRIPLE EXPANSION ENGINE AND THREE BOILERS. BOW APPEARS TO BE INVERTED AS AT THE STBD SIDE THE HAWSE AND ANCHOR ARE AT SEABED LEVEL. THIS SECTION STANDS 8MTR HIGH. AFT OF THIS IS A LARGE, INTACT HATCH COMBING AND WINCH. AT MIDSHIPS THE MACHINERY IS UPRIGHT WITH TWO LARGE BOILERS AND ONE SLIGHTLY SMALLER ONE ON THE STBD SIDE. THIS PART IS TERMINATED BY THE ENGINE ROOM BULKHEAD WITH ONLY THE INTACT SHAFT TUNNEL LEADING OVER SAND TO AN INTACT STERN WHICH LIES 30 DEGS OVER TO PORT. THE HIGHEST PART OF THE STERN IS THE IS THE STBD GUNWHALE AT 62MTRS DEPTH. A DEBRIS FIELD OF MOSTLY HULL-PLATES LIES ALONG THE ENTIRE PORT SIDE OF THE WRECK IN 72MTRS. FRAMING AT THE STERN COULD IDENTIFY THIS AS THE TURRET DECK SHIP 'CLAVERLEY'. (N R CHIPCHASE).
