Load: non-ferrous elements and ores: unrefined and refined,ore

Cause: ex-straits of dover. built in 1892 by irvine & co, west hartlepool owned at time of loss by the italian government. two boilers, triple expansion engine of 244nhp, single shaft. passage cartagena for garston. ran ashore in ribble estuary. (sibi).

H1797/56 23.11.56 H1797/56 23.11.56 WRECK IS REPD TO HAVE PRACTICALLY DISAPPEARED. (RIBBLE NAVN & TH). DELETE BUOY.

- NM 2871/56. H3542/68 14.10.68 H3542/68 14.10.68 BELIEVED TO THE IRON BARQUE MEXICO CITY. A CLOSE INSPECTION SHOWED AN IRON HULL ABOUT A QUARTER SUNK INTO THE SANDY SEABED. BEYOND THE RIBS & SOME PLATING PLUS CROSS MEMBERS, THE WRECK HAS BEEN STRIPPED, THE HIGHEST PART BEING ABOUT 12FT ABOVE THE SEABED. LENGTH OF WRECKAGE WAS 100FT AND WAS IN AN ADVANCED STATE OF CORROSION. IT WAS NOTED THAT THE WRECK IS USED BY THE LOCALS TO CATCH SHRIMPS AT LOW TIDE. WRECK VISITED 29.7.68. (IND UNRWTR ENTRS LTD REPORT DTD 9.10.68). AMEND TO WK DRIES 10FT. BR STD. 8.10.76 8.10.76 AMEND TO ST DRIES 3.1MTRS. NC 1981. H1270/85 18.6.87 H1270/85 18.6.87 ST APPEARS BROKEN UP & COVERED WITH SAND. (PHOTOGRAPHY DTD 21/6/86). DELETE DRYING HT. 28.4.89 28.4.89 AERIAL PHOT PG 1862/1-LP1, DTD 21.6.86, SHOWS DWP IN POSN 533930N, 030324W. AMEND TO DWP IN REVISED POSN. NE 1981.
