Cause: built in 1938 by nv schpsw 'delfzijl', delfzijl. oil engine, single shaft. passage hayle for newport, monmouthshire. struck rocks off lundy island and sank. (sibi).

LEAST M/B DEPTH 35.6 IN GEN DEPTH 40MTRS. NO SCOUR. LENGTH 17.8MTRS, WIDTH 5.9MTRS, HT 5.0MTRS. STRONG MAGNETIC ANOMALY. (FUGRO OSAE, HI 1158). ?SEABED FEATURE. INS AS OBSTN 35MTRS. BR STD. 11.5.16 DIVED AUG 2015, MEDIUM SIZED VESSEL WITH STEAM BOILER, PARTS BURIED, LOCATED AMONGST ROCKY SEABED, PROP FOUND. A CERAMIC PLATE WAS RECOVERED BEARING THE NAME "SS CAMBRONNE". (KEITH DENBY E-MAIL DTD 5.5.16, ILFRACOMBE & N DEVON SUB AQUA CLUB). AMEND VESSEL NAME TO "SS CAMBRONNE".
