Length 134.1 meter, width: 17.4 meter, draught: 10.4, tonnage 6990 ton

Cause: built in 1922 by palmers co ltd, newcastle-upon-tyne. owned at time of loss by british tanker co ltd. three boilers, two turbines for 654bhp, single shaft. passage sheerness for the tyne. mined when entering r tyne and went ashore inside tyne pier. 5 men lost. broke in two when being towed into harbour. stern sank and fore part was beached. stern part later dispersed. (dods & sibi).
