LYING UPRIGHT AND WELL BROKEN UP WITH DECKS HAVING COLLAPSED TO WITHIN A METRE OF THE SEABED. THERE IS A LARGE FISHING NET SNAGGED AND FLOATING ABOUT 20FT ABOVE THE WRECK DUE TO FLOATS STUCK INSIDE. LENGTH 104MTRS, WIDTH 27MTRS. DCS3 HT 5.6MTRS. LIES 117/297 DEGS. STRONG MAGNETIC ANOMALY. WELL BROKEN, APPEARS AS AN AREA OF WRECKAGE. (GARDLINE, HI 961). AMEND WK 48MTRS. BR STD. 5.9.08 5.9.08 WK IS UPRIGHT BUT WELL BROKEN. THE COMPOUND ENGINE LIES ON ITS STBD SIDE. POSITIVE IDENTIFICATION AS BRITANNIA BY POTTERY (BLUE PRINT 'BRITANNIA' IN BELT DESIGN).
