Cause: vessel, built in 1894 by richardson, duck & co. and owned at the time of loss by century shipping co., was wrecked on maiden bower rocks, scilly isles, on route from galveston to le havre. (dods).

REPORTED SOLD TO CENTURY SHIPPING CO. LTD. MOST OF CARGO WAS SALVAGED. (BSAC WK REGISTER, VOL 5). NCA. POSN FOR FILING ONLY. HH100/351/19 18.2.03 DIVED 25.9.98, LEAST DEPTH OVER WK 20MTRS, MAXIMUM DEPTH OVER WK 30.8MTRS. QUITE BROKEN AND FLATTENED. (J ROSEVEARE, E-MAIL DTD 16.2.03) NCA, NO POSN OR TIDAL DATA SUPPLIED.
