Cause: ex-flandrial (royal holland line). built in 1922 by barclay curle. owned at time of loss by compagnie generale transatlantique. turbine engines of 1292 shp for 14.5 knots. was sunk by gunfire & torpedo from u-45. two passengers and five crew lost. (dods & axis submarine successes).
