Cause: built in 1890 by edwards & symes, millwall, london. purchased in 1940 by the admiralty to be scuttled at scapa flow as a blockship. one boiler, compound expansion engine of 275nhp, single shaft. passage for scapa flow under tow of prizeman. sank suddenly. sea smooth, no explosion or warning. (noic aberdeen & sibi).

LENGTH 57MTRS, WIDTH 9MTRS, HT 7.0MTRS. LIES 110/290 DEGS. MODERATE MAGNETIC ANOMALY. (GARDLINE HYDRO, HI 1155). UPRIGHT. PROBABLY BROKEN TOWARDS NW END WITH CENTRE COLLAPSED. INS AS WK 53MTRS. BR STD.
