POSSIBLY THE BLYTHVILLE OR ZAPOTA. (REPORT 'ISLAY '75' BY THE RAF LONDON SUB-AQUA FEDERATION EXPED TO ISLAY, 12-21 SEPT 1975). 23.2.96 WK LOCATED AMONGST THE SOUTHERNMOST OF FRENCHMAN'S ROCKS IN 554136N, 061557W IN 1975. DESCRIBED AS A LARGE WK OF ABOUT 1000 TONS. WRECKAGE CONSISTING OF MACHINERY AND STEEL PLATES SCATTERED AMONGST GULLIES IN THE ROCKS. BELL RECOVERED IN 1983 AND IS ON DISPLAY IN THE MUSEUM OF ISLAY LIFE AT PORT CHARLOTTE. (SHIPWRECKS OF THE W OF SCOTLAND, B BAIRD). INS AS FOUL. BR STD. 28.1.13 NOT LOCATED. AREA TOO SHALLOW ACCESS.
