Cause: vessel, built in 1972 by a. & c. de la manche, dieppe, was secured alongside russian vessel 'antartika' off falmouth. either slipped of broke adrift in severe weather conditions and drifted on to rocks at maenporth where it later capsized. (ll & shipwreck index of the british isles).
