Cause: ex-forth. built in 1899 by irvine shipbuilding & engineering co, irvine. owned at time of loss by baynton & jagger. one boiler, triple expansion engine of 50hp, single shaft. machinery by muir & houston ltd, glasgow. passage grimsby for fishing grounds. struck contact mine. ten men lost. (ll ww1 & sibi).
