Cause: wrecked on agenor rocks. pulled off rocks in june 1930 and anchored a short distance away, near white rock. sank at anchor during further salvage ops. was dispersed in september 1930. vessel, built 1920, was owned at time of loss by sea transport co. (wrecked on the channel islands by d couling).

H4647/68 2.8.68 REMAINS OF SS 'BEAUPORT', CLOSE E OF WHITE ROCK PIER, NOW CONSTITUTE A FOUL AREA ABOUT 450X350FT. THE IRREGULAR LIMIT SHOWN ON TRACING COVERS ALL THE SNAGS FOUND BY E/S. THESE ARE SMALL & SPARSELY SPREAD. ONE SMALL OBSTN, 2FT HIGH, LOCATED 016DEGS, 800FT FROM WHITE ROCK PIER LT MAY BE A LARGER PORTION OF THIS WK, BUT COULD WELL BE NOTHING MORE THAN AN OIL DRUM. [4] THE 2 SMALL WKS IN ALBERT DOCK, INSIDE ST. PETER PORT HARBOUR, HAVE BEEN COMPLETELY REMOVED. [6] WK 35FT, ABOUT 0.9C SE OF CASTLE BREAKWATER LTHO, WAS DRIFT SWEPT ON 28.8.64. CLEAR AT 32FT, FOUL AT 33FT, LEAST E/S DEPTH 33FT. DIAGRAM ENCLOSED. DURING SWEEPING OPS IT WAS STRONGLY BELIEVED THAT THIS WAS IN FACT A STEEP ROCK OUTCROP & NOT A WK, IT IS SO SHOWN ON TRACING. NO OPPORTUNITY YET FOR DIVERS TO INSPECT. ITEMS [1] & [3] NO LONGER EXIST. (SCES, 3.1.68). CHART AS FA CENTRED ON 492730N, 023127W [EUR], WITH SWEPT ROCK 5FMS 2FT. - NC 3140. H1271/71 1.3.73 DEFINITELY THE 'BEAUPORT' FROM FINDINGS: BELL, NAME PLATES, ETC. WELL SCATTERED BY GROUND SEAS OVER 1.5M AFTER BEING BLOWN UP.
