BOTH THE FWD AND AFT AREAS ARE A JUMBLE OF TWISTED FRAMES AND PLATES. MIDSHIPS IS MORE INTACT WITH FRAMES IN SITU MAKING A BEAM MEASUREMENT POSSIBLE. ONE BOILER HAS TIPPED UP AT THE SIDE OF THE WK WHILST ANOTHER IS COVERED OVER. A FRENCH MANUFACTURED SOUNDING MACHINE HAS BEEN RECOVERED, MADE BY HENRY LAPOUTE - PARIS, SUGGESTING THAT THIS IS A FRENCH VESSEL. 'AUGUST CONSEIL' WAS LOST VERY CLOSE TO THIS POSITION.
