Cause: Ex-haardraade. built in 1903 by kon maats de schelde, flushing. owned at time of loss by the shipping controller. one boiler, triple expansion engine of 123hp, single shaft. passage rouen for the tyne. torpedoed by ub 80. was taken in tow by patrol vessel 'richard jewell' but foundered some 14 miles further on when bulkhead collapsed. two men lost.
