Shipwreck details

Name: AUCHENARDEN

Length 103.3 meter, width: 14 meter, draught: 5.2, tonnage 3643 ton
Load: ferrous elements and ores: unrefined and refined

Cause: built in 1899 by russel & co, port glasgow. owned at time of loss by auchen steam shipping co. two boilers, triple expansion engine of 300nhp, single shaft. passage glasgow for liverpool. sank after collision with ss 'la blanca' about 11.5c se 3/4 s (mag) from the bar ltv. later dispersed. (sibi).
